Sisters. One dream: every child in school.
The Two Sisters Foundation began with a simple question asked by two young sisters after witnessing children in their community struggle simply because their families could not afford tuition, uniforms, or supplies.
That question became a promise. The sisters — and the family that raised them to notice, and to act — turned their compassion into a mission: to make sure that no child's education ends because of poverty. What started as a personal conviction has grown into an organization dedicated to giving Haitian children the resources, encouragement, and community support they need to learn, grow, and succeed.
Today, the Foundation works to remove the financial and material barriers that keep children out of the classroom — one child, one family, one community at a time.
Founder & President, Two Sisters Foundation
Born and raised in Haiti, Murielle Pierre developed a heart for serving others at an early age. Through her church and community, she witnessed both the tremendous potential of Haitian children and the difficult circumstances that can prevent many of them from accessing the education, healthcare, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
Helping children became more than an occasional act of kindness for Murielle—it became a deeply held commitment.
After moving to the United States more than fifteen years ago, Murielle continued supporting children and families while maintaining a strong connection to Haiti and its people. Although her life and career developed in the United States, she never forgot the communities that shaped her or the children whose futures can be transformed when someone is willing to invest in them.
Murielle holds a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, bringing to her nonprofit work an understanding of healthcare, organization, service, and the importance of creating sustainable systems that support the well-being of children and families.
She is also a wife and the mother of two daughters. Motherhood has further strengthened her belief that every child deserves to be cared for, encouraged, educated, and given the opportunity to dream about a better future.
Driven by her Christian faith and a lifelong commitment to service, Murielle founded the Two Sisters Foundation to turn that conviction into meaningful action.
The Foundation is inspired by the compassion of two young sisters who want to help other children. Its primary mission is to support vulnerable children in Haiti by addressing some of the barriers that can prevent them from reaching their full potential. This includes access to education, school tuition assistance, school supplies, nutrition, preventive health support, and other essential resources.
Murielle's vision extends beyond meeting immediate needs. She wants the Two Sisters Foundation to help children build a foundation for their future. As the organization grows, its long-term vision includes vocational training, practical skills development, mentorship, and other opportunities designed to help young people prepare for productive and independent lives.
For Murielle, the Two Sisters Foundation represents both a return to her roots and an investment in Haiti's future.
Her Christian faith remains central to that mission and to her belief in serving others with compassion, dignity, integrity, and love.
Her vision is simple but powerful: help children today so they can build a better tomorrow—for themselves, their families, their communities, and ultimately Haiti.
Country Manager – Haiti, Two Sisters Foundation
Dr. Steeve-Alan Ambroise is a Haitian physician and community advocate committed to advancing health, education, prevention, and sustainable community development in Haiti. His work is grounded in the belief that access to quality information, education, and essential services can empower individuals and strengthen entire communities.
As Country Manager for the Two Sisters Foundation in Haiti, Dr. Ambroise provides on-the-ground leadership for the Foundation's programs and initiatives. He helps coordinate relationships with schools, healthcare professionals, community organizations, families, volunteers, and other local partners while supporting the responsible implementation and monitoring of programs serving children and communities.
His medical background is particularly valuable to the Foundation's commitment to children's well-being. Dr. Ambroise will help support initiatives such as the Healthy Kids Initiative, which is designed to provide participating children with periodic health screenings, health education, preventive care awareness, and appropriate referrals when additional medical attention is needed.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Ambroise has built a strong record of public education and community engagement. He hosts a health program on Radio Ephata in Jacmel, where he discusses public health, disease prevention, nutrition, maternal and child health, and other health issues affecting Haitian families. His approach combines scientific rigor with clear, accessible communication, helping make important medical information understandable to the broader community.
Dr. Ambroise is also the Founder of AGIR, a social and environmental organization dedicated to improving living conditions through initiatives in health, education, environmental protection, sustainable development, civic participation, and community solidarity. Through this work, he promotes stronger and more resilient communities while encouraging citizens, particularly young people, to become active participants in Haiti's development.
He also contributes as a writer for Ayiti Souvren, publishing articles and analyses addressing health, development, environmental issues, and broader social challenges facing Haiti.
His work across medicine, education, communication, and community development reflects a consistent mission: to place knowledge, healthcare, and civic engagement at the service of Haiti's people and its future.
At the Two Sisters Foundation, Dr. Ambroise brings that mission directly to the organization's work with children. His leadership in Haiti will help ensure that programs are informed by local realities, implemented responsibly, developed in partnership with communities, and focused on creating meaningful and measurable outcomes.
For Dr. Ambroise, helping a child means more than responding to an immediate need. It means helping create the conditions in which that child can learn, stay healthy, develop confidence, discover opportunities, and ultimately build a better future.
His commitment reflects the broader vision of the Two Sisters Foundation: investing in Haiti's children today so they can become the leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and changemakers of tomorrow.
